Sunday 11th May saw the May Cup and Captain's Drive-in at the Warren. Club Captain, James Jacobs, started proceedings with a well struck 4 iron

2014 captains drive inwhich upset the members who had been guessing how far and where he would hit his tee shot. The winner of the sweepstake was lady member Beryl Harrison who correctly guessed 176 yards. All proceeds went to this year's Captain's Charity; AIMS. Strong winds made golf extremely hard on the links and with a third of the competitors failing to return a score. The winner was Richard Bays with a nett 71 beating Heath McDonald by a stroke.

On the 8th May the Warren hosted the Devon Golf Club Captains vs Hampshire Golf Captains inaugural match. It was a very successful day and the visitors all enjoyed the Warren. For a full report of the match and pictures see the Devon Golf Captains website.

The mid week stableford was played in warm sunshine and little wind. Scoring was good and new member Kris Davis lead the field in his first competition with 38 points. This also meant that his handicap was reduced by one shot. Top three were 1st: Kris Davis  38, 2nd: P Eaton 37, 3rd: Marcus Davis 36 points on count back.
