This year's Ladies' Captain's Day saw the ladies playing an individual stableford with some interesting challenges and a bit of help. For a donation to the Captain's charities the ladies could choose to have Ben Sclater, one of the Warren's pros, hit their drive for them on the 1st; giving them a head start on the scoring.

Then on the back of the 10th green the Captain, Frances Lewes-Palmer, ably assisted by her husband, Keith Palmer, and Ladies' Vice Captain, Jenni Bee, served sangria and a selection of non-alcoholic drinks. The ladies then had to take their tee shot on the 11th using a tennis racquet and once they reached the 18th green they had to putt out using croquet mallets.

There was also a 10 hole competition which also used Ben on the 1st and croquet mallets for putting on the 10th.

Prizes were awarded for longest and shortest drive on the 1st. The golf was followed by very delicious afternoon tea provided by the Warren's new chef, Graeme Murfin .
